30 sThe essentials

  • Free, in the browser, no purchases.
  • Accounts from age 16. Before that, play as a guest.
  • Respect the players: no hate, harassment or sexual content.
  • What you send stays yours. You let 4Dare show it.
  • An approved contribution becomes part of the game and stays, even if you leave.
  • Filters and reports take down what goes too far.

01The deal

These terms apply between you and the 4Dare team, which runs 4Dare. Playing, even as a guest, means accepting these terms and the privacy policy. If you disagree, don't use 4Dare.

02The service

4Dare is free, runs in the browser and sells nothing. It may change, gain or lose games, go offline or end. A big change shows up in What's new.

03Age and account

  • Accounts only from age 16. We don't ask your age: creating an account means declaring it.
  • Under 16, play as a guest.
  • One account per person. Don't sell or lend yours.
  • You are responsible for what happens on your account.
  • Delete it any time, in Account › Delete account.

04House rules

They apply in chat, on the wall, in names, in photos and in everything you send. Not allowed:

  • Hate, harassment, threats or humiliation.
  • Nudity, sex or explicit real violence.
  • Any sexual content involving minors. It is a crime and goes to the authorities.
  • Exposing someone's data, such as address, phone or a photo without permission.
  • Pretending to be someone else.
  • Spam, bots, cheating or exploiting flaws. Found a bug? Tell us.

Spicy questions and heavy missions only come up in rooms that turn that option on. Respect those who left it off.

05What you send

Photos, characters, nicknames, themes, questions, missions, wall and chat stay yours. By sending them, you give 4Dare a free, non-exclusive, worldwide license to store, show, adapt (crop, resize, translate) and use that content in the game and to promote 4Dare.

  • Personal things (profile, wall, chat): the license ends when you delete them.
  • Contributions that made it into the game (library and Workshop): the license is permanent, because other people start playing with them. They may be edited and stay without your name if you delete the account.

Send only what you can share, and no personal data of other people.

06Characters and brands

Characters, names and images belong to their owners. 4Dare is a fan game, with no tie to them, and uses names and images only to identify the characters in matches. Do you hold rights over something and want it gone? Write to contato@4dare.com: we take it down fast.

07Moderation and reports

  • Photos go through an automatic filter before they show up.
  • Three reports hide a photo, a nickname or a line on the wall.
  • Workshop suggestions are checked before they enter the game.
  • We may remove content and limit or suspend accounts that break these rules.
  • When we remove something of yours, we tell you why and whether the decision was automatic or by a person. You can ask for a review through the contact.
  • Content that harms the rights of children and teenagers comes down as soon as we are told, without waiting for a court order.

08No warranties

4Dare is made with care and offered as is. It may have bugs, go offline or lose a match midway. To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect damages, such as lost matches or progress. Nothing here takes away rights that the Brazilian Consumer Defense Code or the law of your country guarantees.

09Changes to the terms

The date at the top shows the current version. An important change shows up in What's new in advance. Continuing to play after that means accepting the new version.

10Law and venue

Brazilian law applies. Disputes go to the court where you live, as the Brazilian Consumer Defense Code guarantees. If you live in another country, the mandatory protections there still apply.
